Three Fun Years.
Today marks Mike’s and my three year anniversary (yay!) I can say that these past three years have been pretty easy - we are so lucky - and I think it’s because we make a point to celebrate life’s little moments everyday.
To say that I was happy that day would be an understatement…having all your friends and family in one place to celebrate just cannot be replicated ever again. It also gave me an amazing opportunity to strengthen my relationship with my Dad. We didn’t have the strongest relationship growing up, but I can say that I’m definitely making up for it in my older age. ;-)
And there’s my two very best friends - who I was so happy to have as my maids of honor (yes, I had two).
But, most importantly, Mike and I have remained so strong, resilient together despite bouts of stress with work, family, money - the list goes on. A friend who recently called off her wedding remarked to me that so often girls look for guys that check off boxes like height, wealth, job, etc. But, she says she learned while those things can be important - that it’s just most important that you are able to have fun in the big and little moments, and I’m so thankful that is essentially what Mike and my relationship is based on…
