Getting Me Through Yesterday (bulleted)
Needless to say, I am still a nervous wreck…and I have to testify in court, in front of a presumed defendant and a judge next Friday. Can’t share more - but I am terrified.
That said, here are some of my favorite things that got me through my Thursday:
- My new Agave Denim striped long cardigan. Ordered it on impulse from Rue La La and received it on backorder. There’s something I love about white and grey stripes (reminds me of my very first Ella Moss shirt).
- 1/4 of my new stack of bangles from Just Jewels in San Francisco. SF-ers - $20 for a stack of bangles! I would pay just that for the big jeweled one in the middle. It just made me feel a little fancier in an otherwise dreary day.
- Red Starbucks cups. Despite not bowing to the altar of Starbucks (I’m a Coffee Bean gal) - these red cups just make the holiday season for me.
- My Erin Condren planner - NEW and improved! When I received it initially, my name was typed in two different fonts (as in my last name was all in one font except for the last letter which was a big capital print letter). I tried to get past it because I am an instant gratification kind of girl, but my Type A personality took over. Bonus? I got it in under a week and didn’t have to agonize and wait for it to be shipped out!
- Anniversary flowers! No, not from Mike. It was my three year anniversary at my work yesterday (time flies when you’re having fun!) and Friday is my annual review. Fingers crossed…
- On top of my almonds you’ll see three new Bobbi Brown lipglosses that the management team at my PR agency decided to surprise me with…a little silver lining in an otherwise lackluster week.
It’s amazing how these little things can help make up a little for crying at work, deciding to impulsively check into a hotel because I can’t sleep at home and being so scared for next Friday.
