Awhile back I wrote about a friend who had deeply hurt me, a friend who went about what I viewed as ending our frendship in a very poor manner. That friend is the girl on the right, and that photo was taken just last week in Hawaii at both of our dear friend Stephanie’s wedding.
We both made steps to move forward, which was driven in large part by our friend’s wedding.
A few insights and lessons learned here include the fact that despite my always claiming that things will never be the same, I am the living worst at holding a grudge. Some may say that makes me a pushover (believe me I’m not) but at the same time, so many times friendships end over silly, petty things that really don’t matter in the bigger scheme of things. I am so lucky to have these two friends in my life, despite any road bumps. Celebrating a reconciled friendship in Hawaii wasn’t the worst thing in the world either.
